Lisa Camping Folding Tables: Quick Tips

Lisa asks…

Australians…I am thinking of selling tables that fold up in a bag to take to the beach, camping,?

bbq’s, park, picnic etc. They are really cool, high quality, come in wood or alum…weigh 2 kilos The table’s dimensions are as follows: 27″sq, width 27″, Ht 16″ and depth 27″ and folds up into this very small sachel. My question is how much would you be willing to pay for such a thing? My friend invented it and we are trying to figure out what to price it at. thanks in advance.
sorry about the inches…they are nothing like a card table or the camping tables provided in the website on the answer below…I can’t reveal too much since I don’t want the idea swiped but your answers so far have been really helpful, it is really a totally new thing.

When you say that the table will fold into a small satchel, I might assume the the table top will fold back upon itself a couple of times? There might be a market, however tell your friend that most Aussies become furious when they buy something that is not durable. The table is around 65 centimetres square, so it is a good size. As previously mentioned, you can buy some crap from China for around $40 to $60 that is woeful in quality. If it is innovative and reasonably made, you should be able to sell a few. Market them as card/picnic/camping tables. Good luck mate.

Sandra Camping Folding Tables: Quick Tips

Sandra asks…

What is the best way to go camping?

Tent, sleeping bags on the ground, cooking on the campfire, no TV or radio?

Camper with fold out beds, table, small fridge, maybe a small camp stove?

Big camper with small rooms, bathroom, kitchenette, bedroom, AC, TV, etc.?

Motel room with restaurant on the premises?

*** I am a tent, sleeping bag and campfire camper, but I would never refuse the others – but still NO TV or radios or such. Just the wonderful , quiet sounds of nature.

I’m more of a pop-up camper kinda girl…I still want to feel like I’m outdoors, but I hate setting up tents.

EDIT: Why did handyman get a TD?!

Sandy asks…

what stuff will i need to buy to go camping help?

we are going camping in the summer, with our 2 young sons, all i have so far is the frame tent, a lantern (will need more) and some airbeds and sleeping bags. fold up chairs and table, can anyone help with my list of stuff to get as its hard trying to think what we’ll need. i know we need an elec hook up and a cooker, anything that i could easily forget, from any experiencd campers. oh yea were taking the dog aswell!

I have a better suggestion:

Find a local state or metro park and rent a cabin. You could spend easily $500 – $1000 on camping equipment and still not have something that you would need and then use only once this coming year. And then after you buy the needed stuff and use it once you have to store it or get rid of it.

Cabin prices around here start out around $100 for a 3 night stay. The cabins include:
cots and sleeping pads
stoves
lanterns
tables
chairs
electric
running water

The money that could be saved could be spent on extending the weekend or going someplace in addition like the zoo or a waterpark.

Comfort of passengers is not a priority icon biggrin Camping Folding Tables: Quick Tips just want to know if the car could handle it.
